Carleen started in banking at 15 years old, working her way up to Branch Manager and then Regional Director. She graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Business/Accounting.
Through her career, she has worked as a Controller for a Fortune 500 company, restaurant business, insurance broker and Williamsburg Community Hospital. In January 2000, Carleen established Peterson Accounting, Inc. She is also an enrolled agent with the IRS, a certified QuickBooks Trainer as well as Pro Adviser with QuickBooks.
Her business accomplishments include having been nominated for the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Person of the Year.
Carleen has served on the Board of Directors of the Peninsula Women’s Network, from 2006-2008, was the Treasurer for Williamsburg Business Professionals from 2008-2010, as well as past Treasurer for York County Chamber from 2011 -2013.
Being a supporter of community oriented programs, Carleen has contributed to organizations including the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, Habitat for Humanity, ALS Foundation, and Heritage Humane Society.
In her spare time, Carleen enjoys time with her 4-legged children, Paisley and Riesling, traveling and studying the Bible.
Amy is a 1985 Mount Saint Mary’s alumni with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. She has over 28 years of experience in all areas of business to include retail management, financial operations supervisor, financial planning and accounting.
Amy has lived in many diverse places such as Hawaii, Turkey and North Dakota thanks to her husband’s 26 year military career with the Air Force. They have called Virginia home since 2000. Amy began working for Peterson Accounting, Inc. in 2008 and is currently the senior accountant and specializes in payroll.
Amy enjoys power walking, traveling, crafting and reading.
